Sequence Startup Studio is interested in a wide range of B2B SaaS ventures that have the potential to make a significant impact in the Egyptian market. We are open to innovative ideas in various domains, as long as they align with our mission and goals.
You can apply as an individual founder with a great idea, but having a co-founding team in place is not a requirement. We can help you build a team if your idea aligns with our focus areas.
If you join us to develop a concept, we kick off the process to refine the concept and proposition. This is a chance for everyone to test-drive our relationship. At any point during this process, either side can choose not to proceed. If the concept isn’t approved by the Investment Committee, all the IP produced remains yours, and you are free to continue building the venture on your own.
There’s 3 core phases to our venture building process: Discover > Build > Spin-Off. Build is where a dedicated team takes the project on for a 6 month period to develop the initial product. After that, a new company is incorporated and the founding team ‘spins off’ with it.
We take care of all administrative overheads, using Sequence Startup Studio as an umbrella company until spin-off, so you can focus on the product and business. You will have a service agreement with Sequence Startup Studio until we create the business.
Founders will have majority control. Our approach is collaborative, and we work with founders to determine a fair and mutually agreeable ownership and control structure.
While we do everything we can to support your venture’s success, entrepreneurship involves inherent risks. If your venture does not succeed, we will work with you to explore and potentially pivot into new opportunities or alternative strategies. Our goal is to ensure that we have a long-standing partnership from the process.
We are primarily focused on the Egyptian market, but we are open to ideas and ventures from various industries and domains. While we have a strong presence in B2B SaaS, we are willing to explore other areas that align with our mission and expertise.
6-12 weeks. We aim to move efficiently while ensuring that all parties have a clear understanding of the partnership.
We expect a strong commitment from founders, but we also understand that they may have other responsibilities. We will work with you to determine a balance that allows for effective collaboration and progress.
Sequence Startup Studio primarily provides funding in conjunction with co-founding ventures. If you are seeking funding only, we may not be the best fit for your needs.
We carefully evaluate each venture and its resource requirements. While there isn’t a strict limit, the number of simultaneous partnerships may be constrained by our capacity to provide support effectively. We prioritize quality over quantity.
